WWE Considering Huge Change To WrestleMania Weekend

WWE could be about to make big changes to WrestleMania weekend.

In recent years, the structure of WrestleMania has remained largely the same. SmackDown takes place on Friday, followed by the Hall of Fame ceremony.

On Saturday, NXT Stand & Deliver kicks off the action before night one of WrestleMania takes centre stage in the evening. Sunday hosts WrestleMania night two, with Raw bringing the weekend to a close on Monday.

However, things could be about to change.

It’s been reported by Wrestle Votes that NXT Stand & Deliver could move to Thursday. This will mark the official launch of WrestleMania weekend, and give the NXT show a chance to stand on its own, away from other events.

On the heels of the CW announcement, I’m told discussions have taken place regarding NXT’s “Stand & Deliver” PLE scheduled for WrestleMania weekend. Those discussions have been about the placement of the show.

Source states there is support for the show to “open” the weekend and be held on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center. I was told while it “makes sense to some, it’s not ideal for others”. We’ll see how it turns out.

WWE NXT To Leave USA Network

The report comes after it was revealed that WWE NXT will be leaving the USA Network and heading to the CW network in October 2024. The new deal is set to last for five years and is said to be worth well over double the previous deal which was worth $15 million.

NXT is expected to remain on Tuesday nights.
