WWE Makes Huge Change To El Grande Americano
It seems WWE has given a major makeover to El Grande Americano.
For months now, El Grande Americano has made his presence felt in WWE, but the luchador tried to keep his true identity under wraps. However, nobody was fooled in the slightest, and it was obvious that Chad Gable was the man under the red, white, and blue mask.
Gable denied being the company’s latest lucha star, despite El Grande Americano even wrestling in boots bearing the initials “CG.”
However, an injury to Gable forced WWE to pivot, and now it’s Ludwig Kaiser who is portraying the mysterious, masked luchador. However, there is an Americano multiverse spawning in WWE as several other stars are also donning their own masks.
With WWE acquiring Mexican promotion AAA, the sports entertainment giant is making waves south of the border, and El Grande Americano is now frequently featured on AAA shows. While Chad Gable was a heel in the promotion, the Mexican fans have gotten behind Ludwig Kaiser’s portrayal, and that might lie behind why WWE has made a major change to his presentation.
El Grande Americano Sheds Red, White, and Blue In WWE
At the AAA Alianzas event, El Grande Americano lost his trademark red, white, and blue gear and mask, which was replaced by an outfit featuring the red, white, and green of the Mexican flag.
