WWE Hints At Name Change For New Star

Triple H WWE Raw

There is a new star on the WWE roster following Backlash France but it seems they might be in for a name change in the company.

Backlash France kicked off in huge style with The Bloodline pair of Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa taking on Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. However, just moments into the match, it became clear they would not be contained in a normal bout. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis was quick to solve the situation and made the match No Disqualification but in doing so, he played right into The Bloodline’s hands.

Orton and Owens claimed the upper hand and Tonga looked to have been defeated after he was driven through a pile of chairs but as seen time and again from The Bloodline, they like to leave their surprises until the very last second as the referee was hauled from the ring.

The person doing the hauling was Tama Tonga’s brother and long-time tag team partner in NJPW’s Guerillas of Destiny, Tanga Loa. The Bloodline regained the advantage and picked up the win when Sikoa downed Owens with a Samoan Spike. Afterwards, the new look Bloodline stood tall.

Tanga To Become Tonga In WWE?

Now WWE has filed a new trademark for Tanga Loa’s name along with another one suggesting that his name could be tweaked in the company. WWE has filed to trademark the name ‘Tonga Loa’ raising suspicions that a name change is in the star’s future.

Long-time WWE fans will remember the star as Camacho as he had a run with the company between 2012 and 2014 before he became better known under his current moniker in NJPW.
