Updated WWE Hell in a Cell Lineup Including Six Person Mixed Tag Team Match, US Title, More

The next WWE Premium Live Event is Hell in a Cell taking place this Sunday, June 5th. Following last night’s edition of Monday Night Raw, more matches were announced including a six-person mixed tag team match and a US Title match as well.

Edge’s rivalry with AJ Styles has been going on since WrestleMania 38 when Edge beat Styles thanks to a distraction from Damian Priest. When they did the rematch at WrestleMania Backlash, Edge got an assist from Rhea Ripley and soon after that, we learned that the group was named Judgment Day.

The good news for Styles is that he has had some allies including Finn Balor and Liv Morgan, who was attacked by Ripley after they lost a tag team match several weeks ago.

Morgan beat Ripley last night on Raw when she slipped out of a Riptide attempt, Morgan hit a backstabber attempt and then did a rollup where she used her body weight to pin Ripley. After the match, Damian Priest went after Styles, but Balor was there to help out. Styles hit a Phenomenal Forearm on Priest followed by Balor hitting a Coup de Grace double foot stomp. Edge was not on Raw this week, so the trio of Morgan, Styles & Balor celebrated in the ring together.

The US Title will be on the line at Hell in a Cell as well. Mustafa Ali faced Ciampa in a singles match on Raw with the stipulation that Ali would get a US Title match if he won. Ali did get the win when Theory attacked Ali for the disqualification finish. After beating up Ali some more, Theory decided to give Ali his US Title match on Raw after a commercial break.

Theory’s US Title match was a quick one when he beat up Ali easily due to Ali being injured before the match. Theory won in less than two minutes. After the match, WWE Official Adam Pearce informed Theory that WWE Chairman Vince McMahon wanted to see the US Title match again, this time at Hell in a Cell in Chicago. Later on Raw, Ali expressed confidence about winning the US Title at Hell in a Cell in his hometown of Chicago, but he was attacked from behind by Theory. It was a strange way to set up a US Title match at Hell in a Cell, but that’s how WWE did it.

Another match that seems likely for Hell in a Cell is The Usos defending the Unified Tag Team Titles against Shinsuke Nakamura & Riddle. The reason why it might take place is that Nakamura & Riddle beat The Usos by disqualification on Raw when Jimmy Uso used Riddle’s scooter as a weapon, which was seen by the referee. The stipulation was that if Nakamura & Riddle won then they would get a Tag Team Title match. Based on the stipulation, WWE could be announcing the Tag Team Title match for later in the week.

There are currently six matches announced for Hell in a Cell with all of them featuring Raw superstars. It’s possible that WWE will add some Smackdown matches this Friday.
