Massive WWE Heel May Return As A Monster Babyface
Seth Rollins is a top heel in WWE right now, but what happened on Raw this week might force him to turn into a babyface.
The Visionary was riding high after his victory over Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. But on Raw, he was a victim of a scathing betrayal. After the night’s main event, where CM Punk defeated LA Knight and Jey Uso to become the no. 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship, he and his teammate showed up to take down The Best in the World.
What happened after that sent shockwaves through the WWE Universe. In a surprising twist, Bron Breakker speared Rollins, and then Bronson Reed followed suit with a Tsunami. Even Paul Heyman turned his back on the Monday Night Messiah, leaving him all alone and humiliated. Following Raw, Rollins was seen limping and getting carried to the back in an off-air footage.
WWE Star Seth Rollins Will Target The Vision Upon Return
Breakker’s attack on Rollins is bound to take the latter off TV for a while. Nobody knows if or how long Rollins will be missing, but WWE veteran Bully Ray believes that when he returns, he’ll return as a babyface, with the fire of revenge blazing in his eyes. Ray said this on the Busted Open podcast while reviewing this week’s Raw segment:
If Seth is legit injured and he needs to be away, and he comes back in a week, a month, or a year, all they got to do is give us a reason out of Seth’s mouth for understanding why Bronson did. war. Seth is going to return as a monster baby face. (From 9:06)
With Rollins probably out of action for an unknown amount of time, WWE has made some changes to its upcoming schedule. The original plan for Seth Rollins was to defend his title against CM Punk on October 17th during the Japan Tour.
Following that, on October 18th, he was scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio, while Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed were set to team up against CM Punk and Shinsuke Nakamura. Now Punk is scheduled to face Dominik Mysterio on October 17th, and on October 18th, Breakker and Reed will team up to face CM Punk and Shinsuke Nakamura.
