Despised WWE Heel Could Be John Cena’s Final Opponent

John Cena poses with the WWE Championship.

Who will be John Cena’s final opponent in WWE?

John Cena is on his final run in WWE this year, and the WWE Universe is buzzing about who he will face in his retirement match. Bubba Ray Dudley, on the Busted Open podcast, discussed the possibility of it being Logan Paul.

Logan Paul and John Cena recently teamed up at Money In The Bank. During the match, multiple instances showed them not being on the same page. On the Busted Open podcast, Bubba Rey Dudley spoke of Dave LaGreca’s opinion on having Paul as Cena’s final opponent. He claimed that WWE would have to build The Maverick as such a huge heel that only Cena could take down.

“I would have to hear the pitch because I think it would be a letdown to the WWE Universe. Unless you can build Logan Paul up to be such a heel that John Cena is the only one that can take him down.” [H/T Sportskeeda]

John Cena And Gunther May Lock Horns

While John Cena is on his retirement tour, the WWE Universe has a list of opponents for him. One opponent that many may not have considered is Gunther. The Ring General won the World Heavyweight Championship in this week’s main event of WWE RAW.

On the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts discussed the possibility of the two champions clashing. He stated that if Cena and Gunther manage to hold on to the title till Crown Jewel in October, they may face each other at the PLE. Last year, WWE introduced the Crown Jewel Championship, which was contested for by the top two champions.

Last year, Cody Rhodes and Gunther competed against each other for the prize, and if the two current champions keep their title around their waist, the WWE Universe may see Cena and Gunther collide at the PLE.
