A former WWE superstar has made an interesting claim about their final match.

Sonya Deville worked for WWE for about 10 years, from her appearance on Tough Enough in 2015 until her release in 2025.

Even though Deville didn’t win Tough Enough, the former MMA fighter was impressive enough to earn a WWE contract after the show, and that led to a decade-long run that included a run as a Women’s Tag Team Champion.

In February 2025, WWE informed Deville that they wouldn’t be renewing her contract. Deville has since said she retired from wrestling at age 32.

As a post-WWE career, Deville is keeping busy on her Daria & Toni Unwrapped podcast with her wife Toni. On a recent podcast episode featuring Saraya (fka Paige in WWE) as the guest, Sonya/Daria admitted she wasn’t proud of the matches she had after returning from a torn ACL.

“I came back from my ACL and had a series of matches that I am not proud of. Notably my worst work ever because I wasn’t confident. I was scared of my knee.”

Sonya Deville Thinks Her Last WWE Match Was Her Worst

While reflecting on the end of her WWE career, the former Sonya Deville claimed that her last singles match was probably the worst of her career.

“And you want to get out there and you want to show Triple H or whoever that you’re healed, you’re ready and you’re good and you get out there and you’re like, ‘F**k this shit’s real and I don’t want to be f**king out on the sidelines for another year with the ACL.

So it f**ked me up a little bit. And you know this feeling. My last match with the company was my worst match, which is maybe why it was my last match. Fair. It haunts me. It haunts me a little.”

Deville would go on to clarify that she was talking about her last singles match in WWE. That final match was a singles match against Natalya that aired on Main Event in early February 2025.
