This development follows a growing trend. The Stamford-based promotion’s collaborative efforts with AAA have brought a wave of new names into the conversation, including Octagon Jr., El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., Mr. Iguana, and Psycho Clown. The addition of La Hiedra would mark another key move in WWE’s mission to spotlight international talent, particularly from the vibrant and long-established lucha libre scene.
La Hiedra has been a standout in AAA for several years, winning over fans with her striking look, charisma, and in-ring prowess. The daughter of legendary luchador Sangre Chicana, she carries both legacy and star power. Her resume includes five championship reigns across various promotions, making her one of the more decorated and experienced female stars in Mexico today.
She is a 1-time AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion, 1-time AAA World Trios Champion, 1-time AAA Northern Women’s Champion, 1-time EMW World Women’s Championship, 1-time DDT Ironman Heavymetalweight Championship, and 1-time RGR Lucha Libre Women’s Champion.
