WWE Has No Plans To Use Absent Star
A WWE veteran isn’t expected to return to television.
On July 21st speculation began to run wild about the WWE futures of Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Tamina. Following suggestions that all three were no longer listed on internal company rosters, it was reported that Lashley’s contract expires in just a few weeks.
Despite the uncertainty, WWE offered Bobby Lashley a new contract, but it seems the star wants to test his value in free agency. The belief within the company is that Lashley and MVP will depart when their contracts expire.
Both men have been linked with moves to AEW as a way of reforming the Hurt Business with free agent Shelton Benjamin.
WWE Has No Plans For Tamina
A new report from Fightful Select has attempted to shed some light on the situation, with updates on MVP and Tamina. With regard to MVP, he’s not expected back on television, and this has been the conclusion for “some time.” It’s been reported by PWInsider that his deal expires in mid-August.
There are also no plans for Tamina to return to television, and she hasn’t attended tapings with any regularity in several months. The veteran hasn’t wrestled since February 2023, and she’s not assigned to a brand on the company’s website.
Despite this, sources claim it wouldn’t be a surprise to see her stay with the company as she’s seen as a locker room leader.
Tamina signed with WWE in 2010 and immediately teamed up with The Usos. She went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles alongside Natalya in May 2021 while notching up nine 24/7 Title wins.
