WWE Has “High Interest” In Top Free Agent
WWE is reportedly very interested in hiring a top free agent.
At Slammiversary on July 15th, Nick Aldis was unsuccessful in his quest to unseat Alex Shelley as IMPACT World Champion. Aldis took part in the next set of IMPACT tapings the following night, but according to a recent report from PWInsider Elite, his run with the company is now finished.
According to an update from PWInsider Elite, WWE has “high interest” in signing the star now that he is a free agent. Multiple sources confirmed that there have been discussions within the sports entertainment giant to bring Aldis in as a producer for the company. The report notes that there was talk that he might be undergoing a trial process for this role very soon, possibly as soon as next month.
PWInsider Elite also mentioned their previous report that the company had interest in Aldis back in January, noting that at that time, the company was interested in hiring him in a wrestling role.
Aldis is now 100% a free agent according to the report, and his IMPACT run went as planned when it comes to the timeline of his appearances. His exit from the company came after a short-term agreement expired.
Zicky Dice is reportedly also finishing up with IMPACT after the latest tapings. He signed with the company in 2021.
