WWE Has Big Plans For Hip Hop Megastar
WWE will continue to work with one big-name star.
After weeks and months of hype, Monday Night Raw finally debuted on Netflix on January 6th. The episode featured appearances from WWE royalty such as The Rock, John Cena, and The Undertaker, while Hulk Hogan was somewhat less welcome inside the Inuit Dome.
In the ring, Roman Reigns defeated Solo Sikoa, Rhea Ripley reclaimed the Women’s World Title and CM Punk got the better of Seth Rollins in the main event.
The show featured a new logo and theme song provided by Travis Scott who also joined Jey Uso as he made his entrance before facing Drew McIntyre. In a moment that signaled things might be a little different now the show is on Netflix, Scott was very clearly smoking weed as he made his way through the crowd with Jey.
No Heat Within WWE On Travis Scott
According to a new report from Wrestle Votes Radio via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, WWE didn’t know Scott would be smoking when he appeared alongside Uso. Despite this, there’s no heat on the star, and the company is said to have “major plans” for him in the future.
“We are told there is no heat on Travis Scott for lighting up during his entrance with Jey Uso this past Monday night, according to a source. They were unaware this was going to happen, and was in no way approved by the company. But everyone played it off well, and the show moved along. WWE is said to have major plans for Scott in the future, and we are told this did not impact any future initiatives between the parties.”
A new WWE press release has claimed 4.9 million people tuned in to Monday Night Raw on Netflix, with 2.6 million viewers in the United States.
