WWE Hall Of Famer’s Son Scores First-Ever Singles Victory

One new wrestling star has got off to a winning start in their singles career as they follow in the footsteps of their WWE Hall of Fame father.

Pro wrestling is filled with family ties, or nepo babies if you’re cynical. The Bloodline have run roughshod in WWE in recent years together, but their family roots in the company go back decades to The Wild Samoans, Afa and Sika.

Cody Rhodes is the reigning WWE Champion, but to some fans of a certain age, The American Nightmare will always just be the son of the son of a plumber, the legendary Dusty Rhodes.

Sting brought an end to his legendary career at AEW Revolution in March 2024. The Icon teamed with Darby Allin to defeat The Young Bucks and retain the AEW World Tag Team Championship. That meant Sting also went undefeated during his three memorable years in Tony Khan’s company.

Sting’s entrance for that bout saw his two sons don his old gear as the different eras of his career were celebrated, and it seems the wrestling bug well and truly bit one of them.

WWE Hall Of Famer’s Son Wins Big On Singles Debut

Steven Borden made his wrestling debut in a tag team match as part of an art exhibition, part curated by Darby Allin. Now at DEFY Wrestling AEON 2, Borden competed in his first-ever singles match, where he defeated Kiran Grey. The fans were so enamoured by Borden’s efforts that they chanted “Please come back” after the bout.
