WWE Hall Of Famer’s Family “Disappointed” At Anniversary Snub
Wrestling will return to Wembley Stadium in August 2023 as AEW All In takes place in August 2023 but the family of a WWE Hall of Famer has expressed their upset at missing out on a graphic celebrating 100 years of the iconic venue.
WWE set the standard for wrestling in Wembley Stadium in 1992 when the company presented that year’s SummerSlam from London, England. That show was headlined by The British Bulldog defeating Bret Hart for the Intercontinental Championship in one of the most celebrated bouts in WWE history.
Over 80,000 fans filled the old Wembley for that event – according to WWE – but apparently, this wasn’t enough for either the Bulldog or Bret Hart to be featured on a graphic produced by Wembley Stadium to commemorate 100 years of the venue.
Taking to social media, the account of The British Bulldog run by his daughter Georgia Smith responded to the snub expressing her disappointment at the decision:
“Disappointing to see that my dad and my uncle Bret aren’t included in this.”

AEW All In tickets will go on pre-sale on the 2nd of May and the company has reportedly received tens of thousands of requests for pre-sale codes for the event which could prove to be the biggest in the company’s four-and-a-half-year history.
