WWE Hall Of Famer Wants One More Match With A Fellow Wrestling Legend
WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam recently shared his enthusiasm about returning to the WWE ring for another match.
On his “1 Of A Kind” podcast, Van Dam discussed potential opponents, reacting positively to fan suggestions such as Sabu, Tommy Dreamer, and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
Yes to all of it, I think that would be cool. That would be cool under the right conditions. I would love to work with Dreamer, Booker, or [Sabu],
Van Dam affirmed. The conversation took a personal turn when Sabu’s potential return was mentioned. Van Dam revealed:
Sabu is talking about having one more match; we talked about it the other night. He’s got different ideas and stuff, but he thinks that having just a match with me would be too easy.
Elaborating on Sabu’s perspective, Van Dam suggested that their close relationship might make a match together seem too straightforward.
It’s a match the people have seen a lot, and maybe that’s too simple as opposed to Sabu’s last match being against [Keiji] Muto or something like that. Then it would be a much different kind of appeal.
Now 53, Van Dam last competed in a WWE ring on August 29th, 2014, facing Seth Rollins on an episode of SmackDown. Beyond WWE, Van Dam has also wrestled for TNA, AEW, and various independent promotions, maintaining his legacy in the wrestling world.
Which WWE Brand Did Rob Van Dam Say Was Best To Be A Part Of?
Rob Van Dam spoke about which WWE brand was best to be involved with and how Raw was always seen as the “A-show” and SmackDown was the “B-show.” When they introduced ECW as a third brand in 2006, there were multiple issues including taping the ECW shows directly after SmackDown which made it harder for fans to be invested in both products.
