WWE Hall of Famer Backs “Great” New Vince McMahon Project

Vince McMahon WWE

Vince McMahon is back.

On May 30, it was reported that Vince McMahon is in the early stages of launching his first post-WWE business venture. The company, named 14TH & I, is a “private investment firm focused on the sports, media, & entertainment sectors.”

The name is a reference to the former home of Vince McMahon Sr’s Capitol Wrestling Corporation, which had an office at the Franklin Park Hotel at 14th & I Street in Washington, D.C. during the 1950s and into the 1960s. That company would eventually become WWE.

There’s no indication that the company will be involved in the wrestling business, but former WWE Executive Brad Blum is involved in the project.

JBL Happy To See Vince McMahon Back To Work

Speaking on the Something to Wrestle With podcast, JBL gave his thoughts on McMahon’s new venture while admitting he’s happy to see his former boss back at work.

“I think it’s great what Vince is doing. I don’t know how good of an investor he is… Vince is an operator… I think that’s what Vince wants to do. He wants to be in that chair. He wants to be running something. That’s what he loves doing.

He used to ask me, he goes, ‘How in the world can you go out there for four hours on a golf course?’ To him, would have been hell. Vince did not want to spend four hours not working. So I’m happy that he’s back. I hope it’s something where he steps in as an operator role for some of these media properties. More than just an investor.”

On May 28, it was announced that John Laurinaitis has agreed to oppose Vince McMahon in a high-profile sexual abuse lawsuit. WWE’s former Head of Talent Relations will now work with Janel Grant’s legal team against McMahon after he was removed as a defendant.

In January 2024, Grant filed a lawsuit against WWE, McMahon, and Laurinaitis, centred around allegations of sex trafficking and sexual abuse.
