WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Unlikely Money In The Bank Winner

A WWE Hall of Famer thinks the company should pull a surprise at Money In The Bank.

With Money In The Bank just around the corner, speculation is running wild about who will emerge with the respective briefcases. After all, if there’s one thing the wrestling world loves more than big moments, it’s trying to predict them.

In 2024, the women’s Ladder Match looks particularly open, with solid cases easy to make for more than half the field.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray cast his eye over the event, and arrived at an interesting conclusion for the winner. The veteran said he expects Lyra Valkyria or Tiffany Stratton to grab victory, but he’d love to see Chelsea Green emerge victorious.

“1000% who I want to win is Chelsea Green,” Bully said. “Who do I think will win? Lyra. Chelsea with that briefcase is entertainment gold…it’s just gold. But it’s never going to happen. Tiffany or Lyra [will win].”

Bully Ray went on to explain why he hates the term “deserve,” instead commenting that Green has earned her moment in the sun — especially as she’ll make the briefcase mean more than anyone else.

“You know I hate the word ‘deserve’ when it comes to pro wrestling,” Bully said. “I love the word ‘earn.’ Nobody deserves anything in pro wrestling, you get what you earn. That’s why I hate the chant ‘You deserve it!’ Shut up.

Chelsea, in my opinion, has earned the right to be thrown a bone, to give her more TV time. Because, as I said, as you backed up, Chelsea with that briefcase, she will make that briefcase mean more than anybody else. She will look at that briefcase as if it is more important than the Women’s World Championship.”

Chelsea Green was the first woman from SmackDown to qualify for the match after seeing off Bianca Belair and Michin. Although she’s a former Tag Team Champion, Green has never held singles gold in WWE.
