WWE Hall Of Famer Tips The Undertaker To Make In-Ring Return

The Undertaker

The Undertaker might not be done wrestling, according to a fellow WWE Hall of Famer.

After spending several years trying to say the perfect goodbye, The Undertaker finally ended his in-ring career with a victory over AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36.

The cinematic Boneyard Match was praised by fans and critics alike, with many suggesting it was ‘Taker’s best match for many years, and a great way to go out.

Since then, the veteran has often admitted that he’s struggled with retirement, but has also remained adamant that his body can no longer stand up to life in the ring. However, it seems that not everyone believes him.

Could The Undertaker Get Back In The Ring?

Speaking on Something To Wrestle With, JBL said that he wouldn’t be surprised to see The Undertaker don his famous black hat one more time. The former World Champion noted that The Deadman has been training hard and has gotten into great shape.

“I would think it’d be a possibility. He looks great. I mean, he looks great, and he’s in terrific shape,” JBL said. “And I know the type of training, he’s doing a lot of functional training…not just, you know, training, like going and doing some bench press, some squats, you know, the old power lifting, lifts that we all did…

So his body’s moving well, he’s, you know, he can, I feel like he probably could still move or move as well as he’s done for 20 years. I mean, I think that’d be great to I’d love to see him come back for something.”

Expanding further, JBL broke down why he feels World Heavyweight Champion Gunther would be the perfect opponent.

“It would be awesome, you know. And the thing is, Gunther is an easy choice,” JBL stated. “You need a big, tough guy that can wrestle, that knows his way around, and you need a guy that can get heat on Undertaker, you know, you need, you know, Undertaker is a big guy, and he looks great now, and he’s still a really big guy.

You need a guy like GUNTHER that can get heat on it. And so it makes perfect sense that GUNTHER would be the guy if Taker looking for somebody to come back.”

The comments from JBL come after it was reported that fellow Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin is more than ready to make his own in-ring comeback. During WrestleMania 41 weekend, Austin reportedly told several people that he might have one more match in him.

The WWE legend last competed at WrestleMania 38, where he defeated Kevin Owens in the main event of night one. Prior to that, he hadn’t wrestled since March 2003.

Next up for Gunther is a clash with Goldberg for the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 12. The bout is set to be Goldberg’s retirement match.
