WWE Hall Of Famer Speaks Out About Drug Use In The 80's

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase shed light on his past experiences with drug use and the prevalence of addiction within his family.

Ted DiBiase’s revelations provided insight into the substances he used during his time in WWE and the circumstances surrounding his usage.

DiBiase disclosed, in a candid conversation on his podcast Everybody’s Got A Pod, details about his occasional use of cocaine, explaining:

I did some coke. The thing about it for me, it wasn’t something I would… I didn’t sit around and do cocaine all day. What it was for me was, well, it was a stimulant, and so if I’m making a long road trip, like I’m gonna be up at 2 or 3 or 4 o’clock in the morning driving, I would take a couple of snorts of coke and I was wide-eyed and bushy-tailed.

Contrary to developing a habitual or addictive pattern, DiBiase emphasised that his drug use was “functional,” helping him cope with the demands of his rigorous schedule and minimal sleep.

In addition to discussing his own experiences, DiBiase shared insights into his family’s struggle with alcohol addiction, revealing:

My mother was an alcoholic, and I didn’t want to follow. Alcoholics, drug addicts, they actually say it skips a generation, I don’t know. But, by the grace of God, I wasn’t, and I was never addicted to any alcohol or beer whatever. Nothing.
