WWE Hall Of Famer Says They Are Grateful To Vince McMahon For Their Career
WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase shared his thoughts on the highly anticipated Vince McMahon docuseries set to premiere on Netflix and credited the former chairman with the success of his career.
Speaking on his podcast, “Everybody’s Got a Pod,” DiBiase revealed his uncertainty about how the former WWE chairman will be portrayed in the series.
I’m not really sure [regarding the Vince McMahon Netflix docuseries being positive or negative].
The docuseries comes amid ongoing controversies surrounding McMahon, including legal battles, most notably the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant over allegations of sexual trafficking. Despite these challenges, DiBiase took a moment to express gratitude toward McMahon, recalling their long-standing professional relationship that began when McMahon was still working under his father.
I will forever be grateful to Vince McMahon. When I first met him, you know, he was simply the ring announcer for his dad. I said I have got to be grateful to Vince McMahon for the greatest years of my wrestling career, I’m grateful to the guy.
While acknowledging his gratitude, DiBiase remained neutral on the ongoing controversies, emphasising that he preferred not to form opinions without firsthand knowledge of McMahon’s personal affairs.
I know there’s some controversy out there, but I don’t want to have an opinion because I really don’t know. I really don’t know anything about Vince’s personal life.
The Million Dollar Man also briefly addressed the leadership changes in WWE following McMahon’s departure.
I just know that he had to step down as the head guy. I’m not even sure who’s running the ship now.
