One WWE Hall of Famer could be making a return to the political sphere and it is not Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump.

Jesse ‘The Body’ Ventura made the leap into politics in the early nineties when he won the race to become Mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. He served one term in that role before running to become Governor of Minnesota in 1998. Ventura won that election as well with The Body serving as Governor between 1999 and 2003.

Now it looks like Ventura is in the mix alongside famed New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers to be the running mate of the controversial independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy according to NBC News.

A spokesperson for Kennedy’s campaign confirmed that the WWE Hall of Famer is in the mix to run for Vice President:

He’s considering Aaron Rodgers and Jesse Ventura as running mates along with others on a short list. No other details available.

WWE Hall Of Famer Considered Run At The White House

Back in July 2022, speaking on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, Jesse Ventura discussed the possibility of running for the presidency himself:

I tell them, ‘Look, if you want the key to whether I’m going to run for office, look at what my hair is doing cause I said, ‘If I’m gonna run, you’re going to see me get a haircut.’

Now it’s more serious than ever. I mean, I dabbled with the Green Party two years ago ’til I found out they were split and were completely dysfunctional. But I’ve been communicating and working very close now with Andrew Yang, and Andrew Yang is the real deal and Andrew Yang is forming what’s going to be called the Forward Party. And we’re calling it that because we want to look forward into the future — we don’t want the past, we don’t want nothing to do with the [Democrats] and [Republicans].

They’re the past, this is going to be the Forward Party, and we’re hoping to get ballot access and candidates on the slate and have a presidential candidate and a convention by the 2024 election. And I’ll tell you why, Chris, right now, 60% of the country doesn’t want [Joe] Biden or [Donald] Trump.

Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Donald Trump has been confirmed as the Republican candidate for the 2024 election while President Joe Biden has also been confirmed as the Democrat candidate meaning a rematch of their 2020 contest.
