WWE Hall Of Famer Returning To AEW In December
One WWE Hall of Famer has revealed that they are returning to AEW before the end of 2025.
The future of several AEW stars has been under the microscope in recent months. None more so than former WWE Champion, Chris Jericho. Jericho has not appeared in AEW since April, and speculation has mounted that he’s set to make a return to WWE when his contract with Tony Khan’s company expires at the end of the year.
But now another star synonymous with WWE has revealed when they’ll be back on the air for All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking on his Grilling JR podcast ahead of AEW Full Gear, Jim Ross noted that his assumption was he’d be returning to commentary duties for the company next month, meaning December 2025.
What Happened At AEW Full Gear?
Full Gear was a night full of surprises as Samoa Joe captured the AEW World Championship from Hangman Adam Page thanks to a shock heel turn from HOOK. HOOK rejoined The Opps, dropping Page with the title belt to allow Samoa Joe to pick up the win.
As The Opps, including members of the group’s dojo, celebrated with the new champion, Swerve Strickland made his shock return to the company, standing side-by-side with Adam Page, his former hated rival, to clear The Opps from the ring.
A new TNT Champion was also crowned as Mark Briscoe picked up the victory over Kyle Fletcher. Fletcher was incensed afterwards, adding to the issues in The Don Callis Family as he made clear he’d be entering the Continental Classic and would not be without gold for long.
It was a better night for AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander as she handed Mercedes Mone just her second defeat since joining the company to hang on to her title.
