WWE Hall Of Famer Makes In-Ring Return

WWE Hall Of Famer Wants One More Match With A Fellow Wrestling Legend

WWE Hall Of Famer Rob Van Dam made a surprise return to the ring on 5th April.

The legendary 54 year-old former WWE Champion has not competed in the squared circle since soaring to victory in a High-Flying 420 Four Way Elimination Match against Isiah Kassidy, Komander and Lee Johnson on the 20th April 2024 edition of AEW Rampage.

Van Dam’s return came as a surprise entrant at MLW Battle Riot VII, which emanated from Thunder Studios Arena in Long Beach, California.

The returning star would ultimately finish runner-up as Matt Riddle retained his MLW Heavyweight Championship in the 40-man Battle Riot match despite a strong showing that saw him eliminate Bishop Dyer, formerly known as Baron Corbin in WWE.

WWE Superstar Unsurprised By Riddle Criticism

Victory at MLW Battle Riot is just one of the reasons that Matt Riddle has made headlines in recent days.

The former WWE United States Champion went on record to name Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn as the two most difficult Superstars to deal with outside of the ring. Riddle cited the pairs reluctance to listen to his opinion when putting together bouts as the reason for his choice.

Kevin Owens has since responded to the selection, noting that he was unsurprised by Riddle’s comments before slamming the former UFC fighters attitude whilst with WWE.
