The 2023 WWE Draft concluded on Monday Night Raw and plenty of stars from the past were on hand to announce the picks for Raw and SmackDown.

Shawn Michaels, Booker T, Sharmell, and Rob Van Dam were among those on hand to help reveal the new stars of both Raw and SmackDown. But Monday’s show in Fort Worth, Texas also saw a welcome return for another WWE Hall of Famer who is well acquainted with the red brand, Eric Bischoff.

Bischoff joined RVD on stage with the former WCW President revealing the picks for Raw as Trish Stratus alongside Ronda Rousey & Shayna Baszler were drafted to WWE’s flagship show. His appearance is all the more remarkable as Eric Bischoff recently revealed he had undergone a medical emergency that left him in a bad way.

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed that a recent addition to his diet had led to severe bleeding from his intestines and that he had to be life-flighted to another hospital after using his local one’s reserves of blood. A doctor told Bischoff following his ordeal that the 67-year-old had almost died twice as a result of his condition.
