WWE Hall Of Famer Planning In-Ring Return
A WWE Hall of Famer could be about to get back in the ring.
While Booker T has become something of a figure of fun on commentary in NXT, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer is a legend of the business. The star enjoyed a famous run as part of Harlem Heat in WCW, before breaking out into the singles ranks and becoming a multi-time World Champion.
During his career, Booker shared the ring with the likes of The Rock, The Undertaker, Steve Austin Shawn Michaels, and more. Interestingly, all of those names have also struggled with retirement or made a return to the ring long after their full-time careers are over.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker admitted wrestling is difficult to walk away from, revealing he’s planning on having another match.
“It’s hard to walk away from it. It really is. It’s so hard. I look at Matt and Jeff, Chris Jericho, Taker, The Rock sneaking into WrestleMania 40. That’s what the business is. We never really retire. Even myself, I’m thinking about having another match at Reality of Wrestling.
I’ve been training. I’ve been getting myself together in the gym on a regular basis. I’m on the 30 day ab workout. I’m like, man, I can still do this. How are you gonna tell a man he can’t do it no more? You can’t do it.”
Booker T Left Door Open Following Final WWE Match
The WWE Hall of Famer hasn’t stepped in the ring since competing in the men’s 2023 Royal Rumble match. After that, Booker T even suggested he now considered himself retired, although those comments did come with an important caveat.
Booker repeatedly said he was done competing at “that level,” seemingly making sure to leave the door open to make appearances with his own Reality of Wrestling promotion.
