WWE Hall Of Famer Pictured Training As Retirement Nears
WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg is back in training as his retirement bout looms near.
The legendary former WCW Champion hasn’t competed in the squared circle since falling to defeat against Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber 2022 in Saudi Arabia. The bout was not well received by fans and it was later revealed that the veteran Superstar struggled to prepare for the match having been struck down with a bout of COVID.
Goldberg recently revealed that WWE Chief Content Officer, Triple H had agreed to his request for a retirement bout during 2025 with many expecting the 58 year-old to battle Gunther is his final ever contest.
The pair were involved in a heated showdown at Bad Blood in October 2024 and Goldberg feels the bout would serve as a passing of the torch to the next generation.
Whilst there is no current date for Goldberg’s final bout, a recent post on Instagram has revealed that he is training for his final outing. The former Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle was photographed alongside five men, including son Gage, accompanying the picture with an explanatory quote:
“And the grind begins…..assembling my in ring crew”
WWE Hall Of Fame Set For New Location
WWE has made a change to the Hall Of Fame, with this years ceremony set to take place independently of the SmackDown taping on 18th April.
The standalone event will emanate from Fontainebleau Las Vegas, with a return to a theatre style set up instead of the in-ring podium speeches used in recent years.
Triple H is set to headline the 2025 class, with Lex Luger, Michelle McCool and the Natural Disasters also announced for inductions so far. The WrestleMania 13 bout between Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin will also become the inaugural ‘Immortal Moment’ inductee in Las Vegas
