WWE Hall Of Famer Open To Wrestling John Cena

John Cena WWE Blue

WWE Hall Of Famer JBL would relish one more bout against John Cena.

The 16-time World Champion will hang up his boots at the end of 2025 following a surprise announcement at Money In The Bank on 6th July. Cena is set to battle all comers in his final year as an active competitor and has already promised to win the Royal Rumble on 1st February.

One man who would welcome another match with Cena is former foe, John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield. The pair embarked upon a bitter rivalry in 2005 which culminated in ‘The Doctor of Thuganomics’ defeating Layfield at WrestleMania 21 to lift his first ever World Championship.

Speaking during a recent edition of Something To Wrestle‘, former WWE Champion JBL was asked if he would want to step foot in the squared circle one final time and wasted no time in answering in the affirmative:

“Of course. Yeah, because I think the world of John and I was so happy that I was part of John’s, formative career. I, again, I don’t take any credit for anything. John did.

John would be exactly where he is now with or without me. I’m just glad that I was one of the ones that was there at the start. But John’s such a great guy. I mean, everything about him.

I mean, the more you know about John, from his Make-A-Wish, what he does, to how he interacts with fans, to how he interacts with talent, what he’s done for talent. I mean, it’s just amazing.

It’s not going to happen, by the way. There’s no absolutely zero talk of it.”

John Cena Drops TNA Wrestling Tease

John Cena has sparked rumours that he could appear in TNA Wrestling in the near future.

WWE officially announced a multi-year partnership with TNA Wrestling on 16th January, with the press release noting the two company’s desire to create “unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming for NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars.”

Cena recently shared an image containing logos of both companies in a post on Instagram, fuelling speculation that his farewell tour could contain a stop off in TNA.
