WWE Hall Of Famer Not A Fan Of Battle Royal Matches

WWE SummerSlam Battle Royal

Matches like Battle Royal, Elimination Chamber, WarGames, etc., are a chance for fans to see multiple top superstars competing together.

However, a WWE Hall of Famer has revealed that they are not a fan of such formats.

With Survivor Series: WarGames just around the corner, Eric Bischoff spoke on the No Holds Barred podcast, where he made the revelation.

I’ve never, never, never enjoyed, as a fan and as a producer, any kind of battle royal concept. Multiple people in the ring just pisses me off.

I start out aggravated as hell because I’m looking at a ring full of guys, and they’re walking around in circles and are throwing weird-looking punches, and they’re not paying attention to the person behind them that’s about ready to hit him over the head with something. The lack of logic that goes into any kind of multi-person match, I have a hard time getting over that hump. [H/T: Fightful]

Ironically, WCW under Bischoff held WarGames matches annually until 2001, when the promotion was sold to WWE.

Eric Bischoff Thinks This WWE Storyline Is The Best In Wrestling

Having served as a former producer of shows, Eric Bischoff knows a thing or two about wrestling storylines.

While speaking on his 83 Weeks podcast, he discussed some of his favorite storylines, including the Mega Powers saga involving Hulk Hogan and ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage.

He considers The Bloodline story in WWE as the best due to its complexity and longevity.

I think the Mega Powers, Randy and Hulk. That’s, for me, it’s probably number one, just as a fan, because it was kind of before I got involved in the business. As a business person, as a producer, then clearly, the Bloodline story is probably the best story that’s been told, maybe ever in wrestling.
