WWE Hall Of Famer Making AEW Return
A WWE Hall of Famer is returning to AEW and will be ringside for a huge match as Bryan Danielson could be nearing the end of his wrestling career.
Bryan Danielson raised the stakes for his All In match with Swerve Strickland on Dynamite. Danielson vowed that he would retire if he was unable to defeat Strickland for the AEW World Championship in Wembley Stadium.
Before he gets to All In, Bryan Danielson has another, more unlikely, challenge to overcome. Jeff Jarrett got in Danielson’s face and challenged him to bring everything he had to All In and on Dynamite in Greenville, Danielson repaid the favour by challenging Jarrett to a match on the 7th of August edition of Dynamite.
Ricky Steamboat Returning To AEW
Now, AEW has announced on Rampage that there will be a very special ringside guest in the house for that match as WWE Hall of Famer Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat is returning to the company.

Steamboat has appeared several times in All Elite Wrestling and was the special guest timekeeper for the “Dragon vs. Dragon Slayer” match between Bryan Danielson and Daniel Garcia back in August 2022.
Ricky Steamboat was last seen in the company picking up his timekeeper role again at Revolution in March 2024 where he was ringside for the final match of Sting’s career in the Greensboro Coliseum. Incidentally, that was the same venue Steamboat teamed with Jay Youngblood to win the NWA World Tag Team Championship at the very first Starrcade event in 1983.
