After making his professional wrestling debut in 1978, Koko B Ware remained in the business for decades, spending time in the Continental Wrestling Association, World Class Championship Wrestling, and UWF.
Ware signed with WWE in 1986. During this time, he became most associated with carrying a macaw named Frankie to the ring, and in 1992 he formed a tag team with Owen Hart. The two were known as High Energy and teamed together until Hart suffered a knee injury in 1993. Following the dissolution of the team, Ware competed in singles action until his departure from WWE in 1994.
After his time with WWE was through, Koko B Ware continued wrestling in independent promotions for years. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2009, and his last match came in 2019 for Pennsylvania Premiere Wrestling. On that occasion, he teamed with Jon Wes and Matt Turner to defeat the team of Alexander Bateman, James Ellsworth, and RJS.
TJRWrestling sends its best wishes to Koko B Ware as he deals with this health issue.
