WWE Hall Of Famer Says Kenny Omega Is “One Of The Best”

A WWE Hall of Famer has named Kenny Omega as one of the “best in-ring performers ever” and has also dismissed the notion that Ric Flair is worth that accolade.

Kenny Omega is one of the most critically acclaimed wrestlers of the modern era but the star who built his name in Japan for DDT and New Japan Pro Wrestling is still a polarising figure with some feeling that he is too theatrical in the ring.

Speaking on The Snake Pit podcast, Jake Roberts was asked to name some of the stars he thinks were the greatest to ever step in the ring. When asked if Ric Flair would qualify, Roberts offered a quick rebuttal:

“No. God no.”

Jake The Snake then went on to say that he thinks former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega is one of the best in-ring competitors ever and is a big fan of Omega’s One-Winged Angel:

“Omega to me is one of the best in-ring performers ever. […] He’s unbelievable man and I love his finishing maneuver [The One-Winged Angel], that knee to the face, it’s pretty crisp.”

Kenny Omega is currently one-third of the AEW Trios Champions along with The Young Bucks and he also captured the IWGP US Championship when he defeated Will Ospreay on his return to NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom.
