WWE Hall Of Famer Kane Reveals His Most Painful In-Ring Injury

WWE Hall of Famer Kane, also known as Glenn Jacobs and currently serving as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, recently shared a harrowing account of the most painful injury he experienced during his illustrious wrestling career. The revelation came during an appearance on the Six Feet Under podcast, where Kane reunited with his Brothers of Destruction tag team partner, The Undertaker.

During the podcast, Kane recounted a particularly brutal incident from a triple threat match involving himself, The Big Show, and Shawn Michaels. The injury occurred when The Big Show executed a superplex on him from the top rope.

The most painful thing I had happen to me was [The Big] Show superplexed me. At the time I was a solid 310 pounds or so and of course he’s over 400 pounds. So the physics do not always work in your favour and it did not on this night.

Kane vividly described the sensation, that the impact of the move was devastating.

It felt like I got hit with a baseball bat across my kidneys. I mean it just knocked the wind out of me. I couldn’t walk.

Despite the intense pain, Kane managed to finish the match, relying on adrenaline to push through. However, the severity of the injury necessitated a hospital visit immediately after the bout. Surprisingly, medical examinations revealed no significant damage, with Kane attributing the intense pain to muscle seizure.

They had to take me to the hospital, it was wild, they did an MRI and there was no damage. I think my muscles had just seized up so a couple of days later I was fine, just a little sore.

Kane reaffirmed just how harrowing the move was the moment it happened.

But that was the most painful thing that happened. Every time I tried to move my whole body would just lock up, it was awful.

The Undertaker Says Kane’s Debut Was The Greatest

The Undertaker recently revealed on his podcast that he thought Kane’s memorable WWE debut during his match with Shawn Michaels in 1997 was unmatched and everything about it was perfect.
