Jerry Lawler has suffered a stroke.

According to a new report from TMZ Sports, Jerry Lawler suffered a stroke on September 5 at one of his homes in Florida. The WWE Hall of Famer has been taken back to his primary home by his daughter, where he’ll now spend a few weeks recovering.

As noted in the report, Lawler has already started on the road to recovery and will be “getting back to normal” in the coming weeks.

It had previously been confirmed that Lawler would miss a planned appearance at a convention in Cincinnati, Ohio, over the weekend due to a “personal matter.”

Jerry Lawler No Stranger To Health Problems

In an interview back in March, Jerry “The King” Lawler admitted he was still dealing with the impact of a massive stroke in 2023. At the time, Lawler was also recovering after undergoing knee replacement surgery in June 2024.

That stroke was already the second suffered by the veteran after being struck down in 2018.

Lawler famously suffered a heart attack while on air during the September 10, 2012, edition of Monday Night Raw. After collapsing at the commentary table, Lawler received CPR and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors later confirmed he’d been clinically dead for 30 minutes.

Jerry Lawler was recently one of the attendees for Vince McMahon’s 80th birthday party. The celebration was intended to be kept out of the public eye, but it wasn’t long before photographs began appearing online.

Stars such as The Undertaker, John Cena, Sheamus, and Drew McIntyre were also in New York for the event.

Jerry Lawler is still signed to a WWE legends contract, although he hasn’t been under a talent deal since early 2024.
