WWE Hall Of Famer JBL Wipes Out Marty Scurll

JBL

WWE Hall of Famer JBL is at it again as this time he turns his attention to disgraced ex-Ring of Honor star Marty Scurll.

For the last few months, WWE Hall of Famer JBL has been on something of a world tour of destruction. At Triplemania 32, the man now known simply as John Layfield helped out Nic Nemeth.

Fast forward to September 13th, and the man formerly known as Bradshaw landed in TNA. During a wild main event, Moose and The System did everything they could to take the TNA World Title from Nic Nemeth, but he retained his gold.

The first man to thwart The System was Mike Santana, but Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards decided to pick up where JDC and Alisha Edwards left off. However, the pair were smashed to the floor by two lariats from JBL. JBL has since returned to TNA where he also cost Joe Hendry the TNA World Title.

JBL Lays Out Marty Scurll

With appearances in AAA, TNA, GCW, and OVW in recent weeks, JBL has now turned up at Destiny Wrestling’s Haywire TV tapings where he helped TNA star Hammerstone by laying out the controversial ex-Ring of Honor star Marty Scurll with a Clothesline from Hell.

Marty Scurll was part of The Elite’s gang of six including Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Adam Page, and Cody Rhodes who were instrumental in the formation of AEW in early 2019. However, Scurll never ended up joining the promotion, sticking with Ring of Honor where he was eventually appointed as booker.

During the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown, the Speaking Out movement took place when the wrestling world was rocked by allegations of emotional, physical, and sexual wrongdoing by several talents. Scurll was implicated in the movement when he was accused of taking advantage of a drunk 16-year-old in 2015. He then left Ring of Honor and his career has mainly been confined to Mexico and Europe ever since.
