WWE Hall Of Famer JBL Names The Modern Day Star He’d Love To Work With
WWE Hall of Famer JBL shared his pick for a dream opponent in a hypothetical final wrestling match.
Speaking on the Something to Wrestle podcast, Bradshaw revealed that current Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes would be his ideal choice, praising Rhodes’ talent and their potential chemistry in the ring.
“Cody Rhodes, no doubt about it. He’s the guy, he’s the face of the company, but also the size difference. I worked really well with guys that I had a size advantage to, I understood that very well.”
Known for his commanding presence at 6’6” and 280 pounds, Bradshaw built a successful career leveraging his size advantage. He excelled in matches against smaller opponents, creating compelling dynamics that highlighted his strength and dominance. Reflecting on his career, he also acknowledged the excitement of squaring off against larger stars like The Undertaker, Kane, and Big Show.
“I worked really well with guys that I had a size advantage to, I understood that very well. I also worked, I thought, pretty well with guys that I had a size advantage with…but you had the Big Show, you had Undertaker and Kane, and you had some guys like that I really enjoyed working with. Cody Rhodes, I mean, that would be so fun. I think so much of Cody, I loved Cody since the JBL and Cole Show, and I think it’d be a lot of fun to work with Cody.”
What Did JBL Say About Criticisms Of Vince McMahon’s Impact On The Wrestling Business?
JBL responded to criticism of Vince McMahon for having been detrimental to the wrestling business and defended the former WWE Chairman and said that his business acumen allowed him to take the wrestling company he bought for $1 million from his father in 1982, to sell the company in 2023 for a reported $9.3 billion. Bradshaw also said that having worked in both the territories and in WWE, he received better financial compensation, healthcare and overall treatment while working for McMahon.
