WWE Hall Of Famer Makes Huge SmackDown Return

The Rock may have taken all the headlines on WWE SmackDown but a WWE Hall of Famer is back on the blue brand for the first time in months.

The Rock laid down a huge challenge of his own on WWE SmackDown after being challenged to a one-on-one match with Cody Rhodes. The Rock hit out at the “crackhead Karens” in the Arizona crowd before doing what at some point seemed unthinkable as he acknowledged Roman Reigns as his Tribal Chief.

However, there was another huge return on SmackDown as the war continued to rage on between the LWO and Legado del Fantasma.

WWE Star Back On SmackDown After Four Month Absence

On SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona Carlito took on Santos Escobar in a Street Fight. With no disqualification rules, it wasn’t long before both men’s respective factions got involved with Berto and Angel coming to assist Escobar. That soon brought out Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde of the LWO to even the odds. At that point Rey Mysterio’s music hit and the WWE Hall of Famer returned on crutches.

However, as Legado del Fantasma approached Mysterio, it soon became apparent that he didn’t need the crutches anymore as he wore them out on Berto and Angel. Mysterio hit Escobar with a 619 after Carlito’s backstabber which allowed Carlito to drive Escobar through a table to pick up the win.

Rey Mysterio was last seen on WWE television in November 2023 being taken out by Santos Escobar as he split from the LWO. Mysterio required surgery for a knee injury at the time but now looks set to pick up where he left off with Escobar.
