WWE Hall Of Famer Feels They’ve Been “Forced Into Retirement”

WWE Hall Of Famer Responds To Accusations That They Politicked Their Way To World Title

Could a WWE Hall of Famer wrestle again?

Goldberg hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Roman Reigns at Elimination Chamber in February 2022. Although he initially remained with WWE, by the end of the year he was a free agent after his contract expired.

This sparked speculation he could appear in AEW, and it later came to light there were talks between the two sides. But despite the rumours and the conversations, a deal never came into being and the veteran has taken several shots at the company in the media since.

In a new interview with Chris Van Vliet, the digs continued as Goldberg compared Tony Khan to Dixie Cater, before denying he was ever close to joining the company.

WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg Addresses Retirement

During the same interview, Goldberg was asked whether he considers himself to be retired, and the veteran gave a somewhat curious answer.

“You know when you’ve been a wrestler at some point in your life I don’t think you’re retired until you’re dead, but I mean I don’t know, I was kinda forced into retirement a little bit.

I don’t like to think I’m retired in any respect whether it’s from working or wrestling or anything else.”

Goldberg has previously claimed he was denied a retirement match by Vince McMahon while suggesting he was looking to compete one more time.
