WWE Hall Of Famer Eyes One More Match At 76

Despite facing some serious health battles in recent years, one WWE Hall of Famer is still considering a final match at the age of 76.

2025 saw the end of John Cena’s in-ring career as he competed in his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th. The crowd in Washington, D.C., were stunned into silence after Cena meekly tapped out while locked in Gunther’s sleeper hold. Those fans then let Triple H know exactly what they thought of the finish to that match when they showered him with “You f*cked up” chants.

But John Cena is a rare case in the wrestling world of someone getting to call it quits when they choose to, rather than having to step away from the ring due to injury.

Jerry Lawler Last Wrestled In WWE In 2012

A heart attack live on Raw that left WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler looking death straight in the eye didn’t keep him from getting back in the ring eventually. However, in more recent years, Lawler has suffered several strokes, with the latest of them leaving him with a permanent condition.

Despite that, speaking to News 5, the long-time WWE commentator explained that deep inside his mind, he’s still not ruled out one final match:

The King’s not quite back in the ring… but I’ve not put it out of my mind. One more match… in there… somewhere.

Many fans will recall Ric Flair’s ill-advised final match in 2022 and the health issues Flair suffered during it. Lawler might be best served by looking after himself and calling it quits on a legendary career.
