WWE Hall Of Famer Explains Why Dusty Rhodes Was So Over

WWE Hall of Famer Jake Roberts has reflected on the legacy of the late, great Dusty Rhodes, crediting his unmatched charisma as the key to his enduring popularity.

Speaking on The Snake Pit podcast, Roberts highlighted how Rhodes possessed a rare, natural ability to captivate audiences in a way few others could.

“He had natural charisma, man. He had so much charisma that if you get next to him, you’ve got it all over you.”

Roberts emphasised that while Rhodes was talented in the ring, what truly set him apart was the way he carried himself and his ability to connect with fans on a deeper level.

“It’s just very simple, charisma. He knew how to walk, he knew how to talk, and he knew how to connect with the fans. And quite the showman.”

Rhodes, a multiple-time world champion and one of the most influential figures in wrestling history, was known for his passionate promos and his relatable everyman persona. Whether delivering an electrifying speech or battling it out in the ring, he had a unique ability to draw in crowds and make them feel like they were part of his journey.

His presence and personality cemented his legacy as one of the greatest characters the wrestling world has ever seen, and as Roberts pointed out, his charisma was simply undeniable.
