WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff Reveals Which TNA Executive Would “Drive Me F***ing Crazy”

WWE Hall Of Famer Eric Bischoff Reveals Which TNA Executive Would

WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff opened up about his time working with TNA Wrestling and his experiences with the company’s former president, Dixie Carter.

In an episode of his podcast, 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff shared a balanced view of Carter’s leadership and the difficulties she faced within the highly competitive wrestling industry. Expressing a personal affinity for Carter, Bischoff noted that she may have been “almost too good of a person to be in the wrestling business.” He further explained his thoughts, saying:

I like Dixie, she’s almost too good of a person to be in the wrestling business. I think her intentions were honourable and good, but I think she was in over her head, trying to be in something that she didn’t have any experience in or instinct for.

To illustrate his point, Bischoff compared her situation to a challenging analogy:

Doesn’t make them bad people or not smart people, but it’s like me trying to become a concert flutist.

Though he acknowledged Carter’s positive traits, Bischoff didn’t hold back on areas he found problematic, particularly her focus on social media during TNA’s live broadcasts. He shared his frustrations, saying:

Dixie would drive me f**king crazy. I really liked Dixie, but she’d sit at gorilla and the whole time the show’s going on she’s not watching anything on a monitor, nothing, not listening to the crowd. She’s reading tweets and sending them.

For Bischoff, Carter’s emphasis on social media influenced her business decisions, often to TNA’s detriment.

Dixie’s ideas of what worked and didn’t work all came from social media.

He added, underscoring his view that an over-reliance on social feedback impacted the company’s creative and operational success.

What Was WCW’s Hottest Act According To Eric Bischoff?

Eric Bischoff spoke about what was WCW’s hottest act besides the nWo and what direction he would have taken the company in if the nWo angle had failed. Bischoff said that the WCW cruiserweights were drawing the biggest numbers in terms of viewership and that he would have pushed them to the top of the card if the formation of the nWo didn’t go as well as it did.
