WWE Hall Of Famer Launches Defence Of Tessa Blanchard

Tessa Blanchard

Tessa Blanchard’s latest comeback has divided the wrestling world.

On December 13th it was reported that Tessa Blanchard had re-signed with TNA Wrestling. The star spent two years with the company from 2018 to 2020.

Later that night the star made her comeback attacking Jordynne Grace. A woman it’s been claimed pushed back on Blanchard’s return.

In early 2020, Blanchard was the subject of several allegations of bullying and racism, which included claims she spat at a black wrestler, before calling her a racial slur. The wrestler involved was La Rosa Negra and she shared a picture with Blanchard in 2023 indicating she had forgiven her.

The star then went on to work with Women of Wrestling, but that run also ended acrimoniously.

Following her re-debut, Tessa Blanchard claimed she’s a free agent and isn’t under contract with TNA or CMLL.

Fans Should Move On From Tessa Blanchard Controversy

Unsurprisingly, the star’s arrival back in TNA has met with significant criticism online, although some feel she deserves to be given a chance. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T said fans should back off and let Blanchard resurrect her career.

“Man, the thing is, I’ve already seen criticisms of Tessa Blanchard being back and people still wanting to try to cancel her. Man, y’all get off of it. The thing is, if something was said, if an apology was made and fences were mended, we should be able to move on.

One thing about certain things, in the social media sphere, everybody know about it but don’t nobody really know what’s going on [laughs]. Everybody know about the story but don’t nobody know what’s going on.

My thing is, guys, get off of all of this hate and let Tessa Blanchard hopefully try to resurrect her career and go out there and redo this thing all over again. Let’s just look at it as that, a redo,”

While Blanchard is joining it’s been reported that several TNA stars will be leaving the company in the coming weeks if they haven’t bowed out already. The report claimed talents have been offered pay cuts and as such have decided to leave.

Jade Chung, Josh Alexander, Kushida, Trent Seven, Mike Bailey, and Jordynne Grace are among those who have left or are expected to depart.
