WWE Hall Of Famer Thinks Criticism Of Triple H Is Unfair

Triple H WWE

One major criticism isn’t Triple H’s fault, according to a WWE legend.

Since assuming creative control of WWE and effectively becoming the public face of the company, Triple H initially received a lot of praise across the board, but in recent months, the tide has turned.

WWE’s Chief Content Officer has come in for heavy criticism for his handling of John Cena’s heel turn, the main event of WrestleMania 41, and bringing back Brock Lesnar, among other creative missteps. This is against a backdrop of rising ticket prices and the significant backlash against the company after it decided to take WrestleMania 43 to Saudi Arabia.

But according to one veteran, at least some of that criticism is misplaced.

Kevin Nash Stands By Triple H

On the latest episode of his Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash said that any criticism of Triple H over WWE’s dealings with Saudi Arabia is unfair. He explained that The Game isn’t “the business guy” or the person choosing the venues, as that’s “above his pay grade.”

“You know, one thing that we didn’t talk about is Paul was getting heat for… them going to Saudi Arabia. And it’s like, let’s make sure that people understand that my friend’s job is he’s a… head of creative. He’s not the business guy that picks the f*cking venues. That’s not his job. It’s… above his pay grade.”

The comments from Nash come after Kurt Angle also publicly endorsed Triple H, stating that he’s doing a “hell of a job.” Angle added that his former in-ring rival is a great leader, and that TKO bosses made the right decision when choosing him to head up the creative end of the company.
