WWE Hall Of Famer Contacted For Royal Rumble
A new report has hinted at another WWE Royal Rumble surprise.
The Royal Rumble is one of the most special events on the WWE calendar, with surprise debuts, returns, and comebacks all expected. Whether it’s break-out performances from stars of the future or the returns of some of the company’s biggest or most legendary names, drama is almost guaranteed.
With that in mind, the most recent report ahead of the event has hinted that Kurt Angle could be involved in the event in some capacity.
Angle hasn’t wrestled since being retired by Baron Corbin at WrestleMania 35 in 2019. Since then, the veteran has undergone several surgeries to try and repair the damage done to his body during his career.
This has caused Angle to all but rule out an in-ring return, but he’s remained on good terms with WWE, making several appearances since heading into retirement.
Kurt Angle Contacted By WWE
As reported by Fightful Select, those close to Angle claim the company has made contact about participating in something during Royal Rumble week. It was stressed to Fightful that it’s unknown whether this was linked to the Royal Rumble match itself or some kind of other appearance.
The veteran is already in Indianapolis for Wrestlecon, where he’s advertised to appear on February 1.
Meanwhile, it’s already been announced that Charlotte Flair will make her in-ring return at the event when she takes part in the women’s Royal Rumble Match. This was followed by a report that noted Flair could be back in the mix for championship gold sooner rather than later.
According to a separate report, one of WWE’s biggest stars could also make a huge return at Lucas Oil Stadium.
