One WWE Hall of Famer has revealed they’re no longer under contract with the company but is by no means done with the wrestling business.

The last time WWE fans saw Beth Phoenix was back at the 2023 Elimination Chamber where she teamed with her husband Edge to defeat The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley.

Since then Edge has been reborn in AEW as Adam Copeland where he has captured the TNT Championship but the future of Beth Phoenix, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017, has been less certain.

Beth Phoenix Out Of WWE

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Beth Phoenix revealed that she is no longer under contract with WWE although she still has nothing but love for the company where she made her name:

I am currently a free agent. I have a great relationship with WWE. I treasured my time there.

I feel like there’s more. There’s other opportunities that have presented themselves. I feel the motivation right now to kind of explore and explore what else is out there and explore myself but my relationship with WWE hasn’t changed.

I have so many friends there and I appreciate and I enjoy the product as I always have and I love NXT, I have a special place in my heart for NXT of course and just the system and seeing young people come up and go through that excitement of developing themselves for the big time. I love WWE. I always will.

Adam Copeland is currently out of action in AEW after suffering a broken leg during his TNT Title defence against Malakai Black at Double Or Nothing in May 2024.
