WWE Hall Of Famer Claims They Never Witnessed Racism From Hulk Hogan

WWE Hall of Famer Ted DiBiase has spoken out about the unexpected reaction Hulk Hogan received during the Netflix premiere of Raw on January 6.

The wrestling legend shared his thoughts on his podcast, Everybody’s Got a Pod, expressing disbelief at the crowd’s less-than-welcoming response.

“I can’t imagine how one of the most famous guys who’s ever been in wrestling could get booed off the stage.”

Hogan made an appearance on the debut episode of Raw on Netflix and despite his legendary status, the reaction from the audience was vastly negative, drawing attention across the wrestling community.

DiBiase, who shared years in the ring and behind the scenes with Hogan, delved into the boos and the lingering controversies that have cast a shadow over Hogan’s legacy. These include allegations of racism that surfaced in recent years, leading to divided opinions among fans and fellow wrestlers. While DiBiase acknowledged that no one is without fault, he reflected on his personal experiences with Hogan.

“We all make mistakes, but I never saw that surface, in terms of his attitude. We got a lot of black guys in the wrestling business, and most of all of them are some of the best guys I’ve ever known. I’ve never seen that out of him.”

What Deal Did WWE Make Recently With Hulk Hogan?

WWE recently struck a new multi-year deal with Hulk Hogan’s Real American Beer and the logo for the light beer company is to be featured on the ring mat for every episode of Raw going forward. WWE will also become a minority owner of the company and Real American Beer will receive social and digital support, including original, short-form content that will be distributed across WWE’s social media platforms.
