WWE Hall Of Famer Wants Chris Jericho Out Of AEW

Chris Jericho

One WWE Hall of Famer would be very happy to see Chris Jericho walk away from AEW and return to WWE.

Rumours have begun to run wild that Chris Jericho could be on his way back to WWE, with his AEW deal concluding at the end of 2025 and a new one not yet signed.

Jericho spent the best part of 20 years with WWE before he was one of the original stars to join Tony Khan’s upstart All Elite Wrestling when it was founded at the start of 2019.

With Chris Jericho’s future looking increasingly uncertain, one WWE Hall of Famer has explained why he’d be happy to see Jericho make his return to the company he first joined in 1999.

JBL Hopes To See Chris Jericho In WWE

Speaking on Something To Wrestle, JBL explained why he hoped Jericho would make the switch back across wrestling’s great divide:

I hope so. Because he made such a big name there. He was the first (undisputed) champion, all this stuff, beat The Rock and Stone Cold on the same night.

I remember seeing him back in the early 90s, I was over working for Tenryu as my first big time step up in a Japanese company. They were doing the junior heavyweight tournament there and Chris was part of that when he was younger.

I remember seeing him then and thinking, ‘Man, if this guy lives, he’s gonna be fantastic’ – I say that because they were doing so much crazy stuff at the time, it was wild what they were doing. Everywhere he’s been, he’s been a massive star.

I don’t know if this negotiation… if he’s not coming in, this is great negotiation for whatever he’s doing, it’s smart. Chris is obviously a very smart guy, all the stuff that he’s done outside of the business.

I hope he does. Mainly because I watch a lot more WWE than I watch anything else and I’d love to be able to see him.
