WWE Hall Of Famer Blasts “Backwards” Jey Uso Booking
Jey Uso continues to be a hot topic of conversation.
On the June 9 episode of Monday Night Raw, Jey Uso lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther — the man he beat for the gold back at WrestleMania 41.
It’s since been reported that the decision was taken because Triple H wanted Goldberg’s retirement match against Gunther to be for the World Championship. This meant that Uso was effectively moved aside.
However, Uso was then added to the King of the Ring tournament, where he advanced to the semi-finals after beating Bronson Reed, Rusev, and Sheamus.
Rikishi Remains Unimpressed With Jey Uso Creative
On the latest edition of his Off The Top podcast, Rikishi called out WWE once again, this time for Jey Uso’s involvement in the King of the Ring tournament, calling it “backwards.”
“What is this, backwards? Kid had the belt… these are reputable names (Jey Uso beat in the four-way), they’re all good workers, good names.
I don’t even want to get my blood pressure high again, man. The booking is backwards!”
Previously, Rikishi had called for WWE’s creative team to be fired, and that was before Uso lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Gunther. Following that defeat to Gunther, Rikishi suggested the writing team hadn’t done Uso justice, suggesting his son deserved better.
