WWE Hall Of Famer Backs NXT & TNA Partnership

WWE Trick Williams TNA World Champion

WWE’s partnership with TNA has been a success.

On the October 7 edition of NXT, the partnership-come-rivalry between WWE’s third brand and TNA hit a new flash point. The special NXT vs. TNA Showdown featured four cross-promotional matches, including two Survivor Series elimination contests.

In the main event, Team TNA got the win after Trick Williams walked out on Ricky Saints, leaving the NXT with far too much to do on his own. Meanwhile, the Hardy Boyz won the NXT Tag Team Championship for the first time, beating Dark State.

Booker T Supports WWE & TNA Crossover

On the latest episode of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T gave his thoughts on how the partnership has played out, commenting that he’s been “so invested” in the crossover.

“I’ve been so invested in the TNA NXT crossover that they’ve been doing. It’s been so good for both sides to see so many different guys get a come-up.

Just like seeing Matt Cardona back in the building. And then seeing guys like Moose, this guy who I had talked about for quite some time, and I was just like, ‘Man, I wish this guy can get a shot.’ And now with this crossover.”

Booker went on to tip his hat to TNA boss Carlos Silva for allowing the talent exchange and giving opportunities across the board.

“TNA President, Carlos Silva, he’s doing a hell of a job giving these guys some opportunity, more than anything, to go out there and live that ultimate dream and not holding these guys back.”

The crossover between the two companies is set to continue with several WWE Superstars and NXT titles set to appear on TNA Bound For Glory on October 12.
