WWE Hall Of Famer “Always Down” For Royal Rumble Appearance
A WWE Hall of Famer says they’ll be checking their mail for an invitation to the Royal Rumble and says they’re “always down” for an appearance.
The Royal Rumble is one of WWE’s most anticipated shows of the year as fans wait to see who will come out on top in the 30-person matches to book themselves a title shot at WrestleMania. The Rumble matches also provide a source of excitement as fans keep their eyes peeled for surprise entrants.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T – who showed up a surprise entrant in the 2011 and 2012 Royal Rumble matches – says he hasn’t had an offer but he’s game to lace up his boots again if an offer comes his way:
“I will be checking the mail every day all the way up until that day, because if I get an invitation I’m definitely going to execute it, I’m definitely going to be there and I’m going to be prepared to be in the middle of the ring if that happens. But no, nobody’s talked to me or anything like that about being in the Rumble. I don’t have any itches to scratch or anything like that, but hey man, I’m always down.”
So far the only WWE Superstar announced for either the men’s or women’s Royal Rumbles is former WWE Champion Kofi Kingston – who could enter the bout as an NXT Tag Team Champion.
