WWE Hall Of Famer Open To AEW Move To Manage Daughter

WWE Hall of Fame 2011

One WWE Hall of Famer would be more than happy to make the jump to AEW to manage their own daughter.

WWE Hall of Famer Paul Ellering was let go by WWE in February 2025 as part of wider releases in the company. Giovanni Vinci, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Isla Dawn, Cedric Alexander, Elektra Lopez, AOP (Rezar and Akam), and Blair Davenport were all let go, while Sonya Deville was told the company wouldn’t be renewing her contract.

And it seems Paul Ellering would be happy to head to Tony Khan’s company to join up with someone very close to him.

During an appearance on THE HANNIBAL TV, Ellering noted that he’s not been asked to join AEW or Ring of Honor but would happily do so to be around his daughter, Rachael Ellering, who works there:

Nobody’s expressed it to me, if it’s there. Yeah, yeah, I’d be up to it. It’s always nice to be around your kids.

Ellering then explained where he thinks Tony Khan is missing the boat on Rachael and that she has a personality that should be allowed to shine through:

She has so much to offer, interview-wise and personality-wise. That’s where they’re missing the boat. She’s good in the ring but she has tremendous personality, and a great babyface. Really good with people.

Ellering has been part of the ROH roster since 2023, where she has shared the ring with the likes of Hikaru Shida, Mina Shirakawa, and Queen Aminata. She has also competed in a handful of matches for AEW, the most recent of which came on a July 2025 edition of Collision, where she was part of a team that lost a trios match to the Triangle of Madness.

Paul Ellering Paired With Karrion Kross In WWE

Prior to their release, Paul Ellering and the AOP were part of Karrion Kross’ Final Testament group. Karrion Kross and Scarlett recently left WWE after their contracts were allowed to end.

However, many believe that Kross and Scarlett are set to be part of the company again in the near future.
