WWE Hall Of Famer Admits There’s A Roadblock Preventing Return
A WWE Hall of Famer wants to come back, but admits there’s a “roadblock” preventing it.
Nikki Bella is a WWE Hall of Famer who has made a comeback this year to show that she can hang with the stars of today. Nikki returned at the Royal Rumble, then she participated in the battle royal at the Evolution PLE and also beat Chelsea Green on Monday Night Raw.
There is also an 8-woman tag team match on the July 28th episode of Raw in Detroit that will see Nikki Bella team up with Rhea Ripley, Stephanie Vaquer & Iyo Sky against Naomi, Chelsea Green, Alba Fyre & Piper Niven.
What about Brie Bella? The WWE Hall of Fame team known as The Bella Twins have yet to reunite in a WWE ring. Nikki’s twin sister recently said that she yearned to be at Evolution, but Brie wasn’t part of the show.
How Bryan Danielson Working For AEW May Affect Brie Bella’s Return To WWE
While speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show podcast, Brie Bella discussed how her husband, Bryan Danielson, who has been working for AEW for the past four years, likely plays a factor in WWE’s decision not to bring Brie back.
“I have constantly made the joke, oh, waiting on the call, which in some ways can be true and in some ways I’m just saying something cheeky and sweet so I can get on to the next question.
When I look at that, I know my roadblock is the fact that my husband is with the rival company. And for some people, it makes them uncomfortable at WWE, thinking I would be there when my husband’s with AEW. And you know what? That’s okay.”
As she continued, Brie made it clear that she isn’t bitter about it.
“I’ve kind of looked at that roadblock as people have the right to feel. If people feel uncomfortable, they’re uncomfortable. And that’s okay. They have that right. Does it bum me out at times that I wish their feelings were different? Absolutely. But it doesn’t make me angry and it doesn’t make me bitter.”
